The activities at the center are designed to build a child’s social, emotional, mental and physical development while encouraging independence.

We base our pre-school year on a curriculum called the Creative Curriculum. The activities we plan for children, the way we organize the environments, select toys and materials, plan daily schedules, talk with the children, are all designed to accomplish the goals of our Creative Curriculum.

Center Director

Kimberley Decker-Coots

Kimberley is a dedicated, highly qualified childcare professional holding an associate's degree in Early Childhood Development. She is married with 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

Kim started her career in early childhood in 1995, learning the basics of childcare and running an impressively happy classroom until 2000 when she embarked on her college degree course. After a year out of the workplace Kim decided to return to childcare alongside college, working with all age groups and in a supervisory capacity. She started her career with Academy of Learning in 2009 as one of our highly respected directors and after a short sojourn to stay home Mom, we are delighted to announce she has returned to our fold.

In her free time Kim likes to indulge in some family togetherness watching a wonderland of kid movies, packed with positive messages and role models, with her grandchildren. She also loves taking them swimming in the summer.
