How It All Began
Our founders, Connie J. Hobbs and Doris Albright spent many years as teachers and childcare providers. Doris began an illustrious career as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Connie was distinguished in the field of childhood special educational needs. Over time they developed a shared philosophy built on a unique, whole-child approach to learning and growth. In 1994, their dream came to life with the opening of their first daycare center and elementary school, where their vision could flourish every day.
The center quickly became a great success, and today there are five Academy of Learning locations, all held to the same high standards; giving children the best possible start in life.
